Jacobite Productions
Black Friday 1745 review
From beginning to end, it was a great script, using all the techniques that Shakespeare used to introduce people and set the scene, without showing off or making the play ungainly. It is hard when simply using dialogue to 'show, don't tell', but the author managed this very well.
The excellently worded dialogue was clear, easily understood and with great definition of characters, in that it was very easy to tell from the voice who was speaking. It was a very good auditory ploy to have the Prince speak with a slightly upper class English accent to define not just his character but his rank. The writer had created realistic and believable dialogue. An excellent production. I look forward to what happened next.
